We are excited to share the wonderful news that Atelier 73 Architects Ltd has been honoured with the Loughton Building Design Award 2023 for our recent project on Church Lane. While the award ceremony took place in March 2023, we're thrilled to announce and celebrate this recognition now, underscoring our commitment to timely and thoughtful architecture within the local community.
The judges' comments reflect a humble acknowledgment of our efforts, stating, "A great deal of time and effort has been taken with this. The property is a recently restored 1920s Renaissance house for C F Clark by the renowned firm of Wallis Gilbert and Partners. A fine job has been done with the detailing, particularly the bold extension of the modillion cornice."
This recognition is a testament to our dedication to detail and our endeavour to seamlessly integrate modern elements while respecting the historical integrity of the 1920s Renaissance house. The judges noted, "Everything is right, it all looks in keeping and makes a worthy addition to the varied streetscapes of Church Lane and adds interest to the scene at the crossroads."
